Recently we were turned on to NewMediaWebinars.com, a really great resource for editors and digital content creators.

NewMediaWebinars.com is the brainchild of media guru and frequent Tweeter, Marcelo Lewin.

The site presents streaming webinars on digital media/new media topics on a frequent basis.  The webinars are presented by working media experts and run a gamut of topics having to do with media creation.  From the site:

We recently caught the Video Compression Recipes webinar hosted by compression expert and author Andy Beach.  He covered a wide spectrum of compression software and encoding techniques.  We took away some really useful knowledge!

They also had a random raffle of some cool software and prizes for those that were viewing — although we didn’t win anything….this time.  :)

It’s important to note that the webinars on this site are free…if you watch them live.  Archived versions of the webisodes seem to range in price from $15 – $39, but those do come with additional information and some with project files.

The upcoming websiodes listed on the site seem to start at 10 am Pacific and they last 90 minutes.   For US residents it would be a great way to spend a lunch at your desk.
